Took all the runners down today, dug a trench for some autumn sown peas, shredded the bean plants and lined the trench with them, covered in manure, moved the chickens...

That sounds very organised and decisive..... I'm still picking the last few runners and watching and waiting for seed for next year.

cleared courgettes plants that have had it for this year, run out of recipes for marrows and friends to give them to!
cleared peas/beans and covered to get rid of weeds, then we cleaned out betwen the leeks.
all glued together with tea and slices of fresh homemade tarte citron, yum.

Dug up all my carrots for blanching and freezing, and most of the rest of the beetroot (remaining large ones will be picked for pickling later in the week).
Cleared out remaining dwarf french beans.
Picked some radishes.
Dug over all cleared areas.
Locked up site in the dark, and staggered home aching... probably a bit too much digging today!

I cut the grass this weekend for the last time this year. Also made passata with some of my tomatoes.

Had a good look around the plot and decided it's 'tidy up' time. Will start that this week  :)
