Got some bark chippings down inside the polytunnel to suppress the weeds in the path. Watered inside the polytunnel too, and noticed that my chillis have finally ripened... yippee!  Chilli Jam in a few weeks.

As my plot has now grown a bit in size I decided to make the compost bin bigger by adding another three pallets to it making it into a double, while I was there I also made a seat and hung the tools on the side of the bins. I then had a quick tidy up and watered the brassicas and rhubarb.

I picked plenty of tomatoes, chillies, and beans (runner and French). Couple of cucumbers, 6 cornichon, and a nice broccoli.

Weeded a bit, chatted to my water melons, - told them how well they're coming on .. hehe

And watered watered watered!

Dismantled a greenhouse and took it to my allotment ready to go up when the beans are finished. Feel great like a little boy with a new toy.

Picked some tomatoes, a lovely cucumber, ate loads of freshly picked blackcurrants and tried to catch falling leaves.  How old am I?  51 but who cares!

You're right, life's for living and enjoying and as I've said many, many times, this is my favourite time of the year.

Been into the greenhouse and collected some lovely tomatoes and peppers.  Made a start on cleaning out some of my planters where the plants have begun to go-over and look sad.  Sat on the patio drinking coffee, eating biscuits (very low fat ones of course), watching the dogs scratching and just thought how wonderful the day was.  Aaarrrrr! ::)

Sowed my phacaelia and moved another barrow of site's free manure onto an empty bed.
Only 1 barrow, cos somebody else had nabbed the rest  ::)
