well, I haven't got an allotment anymore. But I do have a lake measuring exactly ten poles...
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required

If you have the poles you only need a punt then, for trips round the lake

Watered greenhouse plants picked a few toms

Lifted Arran Victory spuds

Lifted onions left in sun to dry - dug over onion patch

Emptied one compost bin to mulch apple trees and plum trees

Admired pumpkins and wondered how i am going to weigh them for the competition!

Went round to my neighbour for a couple of barrow loads of last years stable bedding

Planted all my brassicas today, twelve cabbage, six purple sprouting, six white sprouting, six kale and six cauliflowers, then planted a row of turnips and green manured the rest of the plot.

Harvested loads of beans some lovely Chantenay Royal carrots, ruby chard and plenty of salad and my first (but tiny) Calabrese Sakura. Little bit if weeding. Lots of thinking and planning.

oooohhhh - and how could I forget - I found an actual aubergine on one of my plants! Just when I had given up all hope.

Hoed the paths, thinned out the lettuce and kohlrabi, hoed between the leeks and older brassicas.

And as luck would have it I was there when they were marking the last two plots, so I now have another 40ft x25ft to go with my 70ft x 15ft and that's all the plots have now gone. I am very pleased as this should give me plenty for my future plans :) Covered in thistle and doc so back to the digging again.
