weeded, picked a few cucumbers and salad leaves. Picked a cabbage and some carrots to go with tonight's roast

Picked a load of beetroot and made spicy beetroot soup for lunch.

Well I dont officially have an allotment :(

But in my garden today I re potted up 2 gooseberry bushes my friend gave me that were becoming pot bound, also a small bay tree....

Then I rescued some parsley, curry plant, oregano, chives and sage from another plant pot she gave me that they were all starving in!  >:(

I went to B n Q to check out the ''sale'' pffft wish I'd not bothered, naff all left!!

On the upside I have now got a few nice pots to use in my garden  ;)

Just awaiting my brother in law fetching my a tonne of topsoil in a trailer tomorra for my large planter out the front..... cant wait  :D
The goal of life is not to arrive at the graveyard in a well preserved body, but instead to skid in sideways, totally worn out yelling "What a ride!".

picked 3 more courgettes... is anyone else eating these almost every day like me?!

picked a cabbage and some massive red onions... looked in amazement at my 4 pumpkins growing away happily... i've never grown these before.

I'm sick of rain now, I want to thin my carrots without getting soaked

getting dry again here as well, so gave everything a good water including the spuds, cos I think it is their fattening up time :)

Tied up the climbing french beans a bit more although they are showing no inclination to grow, let alone climb :( Purple podded however are nearly at the top of their teepee...so why are the Cobra sulking  ::)
Sat looking at the sweetcorn with a smile on my face, cos it looks fully polinated ;) and all have 2 or 3 cobs on so fingers crossed that it will be a bumper harvest.......I'm not counting chickens, just hoping all goes well from now til harvest 8)

Binned some of my iceberg lettuce that had gone all slimey with all this rain we have been having. Had some manure dropped off so barrowed a load to my plot in the sunshine  8)  Sweat was literally dropping off me  :nowink: Did some weeding, fed pumpkins and squash, planted a fushcia bush ( Margaret... in memory of my Mum ) , lay some more wood chippings on the path then the heavens opened and it belted it down. Got stuck in shed till it stopped
I came I saw I grew my own veg

Watered, weeded and dug. Put in sweet peppers Golden Bell & Delight mixed and drowned them, ground is so dry here. Picked last of the gooseberries and a few ripe plums. Tied in the tomatos and picked some C F Beans that are just starting to come through.
