I haven't even started my runners yet, although I did finish off there bed today ready for them in a while ... when it warms up ... say september ish?

Then I got mugged by the dentist, which kinda killed the rest of the day :(

Ahh well, at least the chicken s**t turned up, roll on summer .... and slugs, and bl**dy butterflies :D

Ah you're one of life's optimists  :D
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....

I tried drowning in tears once, then I realised that swimming lark was a hell of a learning curve  ... so now I tend to flounder :D

I stayed at home in the greenhouse and looked after the bean plants, tomatoes and trays more watching and waiting for spring to arrive - signs are there!  ;)

Sowed a row each of Carrots sugarsnax and early Nantes, Parsnip Avon resister and Beetroot Chioggia.

Planted out another 10 broad bean plants and sowed 10 each of French bean Blue Lake, Borlotti and Runner bean Celebration in pots inside.

Was happy to see that (despite looking like the surface of the moon) the potatoes seem to have survived the frosts and the leaves are emerging nice and green.

popped down to check the air a a few mins ago.  leeks + onions looking better for the rain. and seems to be helping the swiss chard pick  up.

peas quite well through but appear to have stalled in the cold of this week :(

frost (or just prolonged cold) deffo appears to have got all French beans in the cold frame, + squash and courgette which were wrapped up all snuggly (erm well obviously not) so this week end is effort  to get some more going.

all good fun

Popped up after work, sowed beetroot and parsnip seeds. Prepared two mounds ready for my boys pumpkins. Weeded around the fruit bushes. And had a long chat with our site rep. Oh, and earthed up the maincrop potatoes that have just started to show....
