Would it do for the shed? Perhaps it wouldn't match the curtains?  :tongue2:

Moved runner and dwarf french beans to greenhouse outside, added compost to potatoes in bags - designed "cage" for brassicas and inspected potatoes outside for earthing up............no sign yet!

..........oh, and put together another plastic greenhouse which will be home for my peppers and aubergines...........

A good day  :)

Gave my grass leek seedlings a liquid feed, got the mower out, light shower, put mower away again, sunshine, got mower out, light shower.............................!

Desperate to get the grass cut to chuck on the spuds as a mulch as I can't earth them up any more and the tops are still sticking out!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Potato shoots sticking a good 6 inches out now so no more earthing up.
Took cordless strimmer down to strim the paths this morning.
Will be sowing last lot of leeks in a 5" pot tonight. 1" apart like DD said.

More digging, took the fleece of my first lot of peas and put down more slug pellets. The bu@@ers have eaten the last lot, and I pulled three slugs off the peas. Yet more digging.

Pre-prepped a couple of the dahlia beds, sorted out the paths for my veg beds ... got cancelled by the dentist again :(

Just out of curiosity, any of you a professional hit(wo)man? If so, what are your rates for dentists ?

Put up decking, made too miniture raised beds and put up more decking, not at the allotment but in the garden

Re- measured the plot lenght because the scale drawing Mr Sunny has created somehow seemed wrong --- it is not 25m long but 26 so we have 26sq m more than I thought  :D :D :D

Good --o   :tongue2:

Hi all back to work today but i had two lovely days on the allotments Monday and Tuesday started setting on the plot set my onion sets in black mulch film as an experiment fingers crossed set the shallots in the open ground and my parsnips started off in paper pots Tuesday set three rows of peas [onward] and my pot grown broad beans lucky i had the wife to help me
still plenty of setting to do when i have time off from work but plants growing well in both tunnels and greenhouses ready to set out need to get the ground ready to set my spuds but the wife has already set some in tubs for an early crop

i could be a little later than some of you but our ground has only just started to warm up
i am holding back a bit as there's still cold nights and frosts need to cover the greenhouse benches with fleece can't take any chances
