Thank you Ice. That's the first time all week I've expressed my true feelings about it.
Up till now, I've been uber-reasonable about it ("well, I could've killed myself & the examiner").

Examiner was a wuss who didn't need to slam down on the brakes 2 minutes into my test and do an emergency stop. Of COURSE I would've spotted the fool 0.2 seconds later doing a U-turn on a mini-roundabout without signalling!!

But being able to spend an hour at the plot was lovely. Amazing how nature can just centre you again and make all the stresses & pressures of the day go away.

Spent this afternoon pulling out the Bindweed which is starting to pop up, (& the ground elder which is invading the half-plot next to us) but it's manageable if we keep on top of it.

These days it's all 'elf and safety.  The poor little delicate flower of an examiner probably already failed you because you looked at him in a manner that wasn't conducive to good public safety.  You didn't stand a chance. ::)

Ice... a brilliant bit of handi-work and well organised layout.
Are you sure you're not going into mass production and business selling flat-pack raised beds?

I managed four hours on the plot today (inbetween parent sitting)... so getting there slowly!

It's a start... ;)

Now there's a thought Learner. ;)  Although building them couldn't be easier, it's the positioning and filling that is exhausting.

I've basically spent the day on my knees digging out dandelions, there were none a week ago and there's loads now! I don't know why I bother though as my neighbours garden is full of them and they just come back again and again......... would it be wicked of me to sprinkle some lawn weedkiller on hers when she's not looking it's mainly dandelions rather than grass anyway?
