stopped of on the way home from work, watered the seedlings, planted some more spring onions. The goji berry plants are looking good in the polly tunnel, will start to harden them off for planting out end of the month, really proud of these grew from seed,

I put in my 'Roosters', planted my sprouts, cauliflower and brocolli seedlings into their final positions.

Also, ran out of water butt water.  I do hope it rains down here soon!  My lottie looks like the Sahara!

Planted Blue Lake beans given to me by New Shoot, borlotto beans, dwarf borlotto beans, french climbing beans, courgettes, mixed salad leaves and watercress. All in the poly.

Must be the thing to do -- we've been constructing a shed base too  :D

[how does so much glass get on an allotment?

Thought it was only my plot, I thought previous occupiers had smashed a greenhouse or something

My plot is half my back garden and today I filled a carrier bag with bits of glass whilst I was preparing the ground for the poly tunnel going up. I can't quite believe how much glass I've found on the whole site, no wonder one of my dogs kept getting cuts on her paws!
At least now it's almost clear just got two more tree stumps to dig out and yes I have found loads of glass whilst digging the others out.
Today was back breaking work as I also had to dig out the remains of an old anderson shelter which was so rusty that it came out in lots and lots of bits, small and large. I've also been on my hands and knees gathering glass and rusted metal. It feels so good to have done it though.  :D
Can't wait to put the poly tunnel up, sadly I'm working tomorrow so it will have to be on Friday.
