put the last of me potatoes in!  :D main crop 99p from tesco!

Did you choose to ignore all the advice given previously about the risks you pose to your own crops and all those around you by buying uncertified and unprepared spuds from the supermarket, then Monsta?

Yup! did the same last year without any problems infact they grew better than the "certified seed pots" from the gardencentre  :tongue2:

Only had a quick visit so just had chance to earth up some spuds, water peas in guttering, check to see if the evil Weevils had left any of my first row of peas  :(

Then had a double take at my beetroots to see they werent in fact weeds but lovely little shoots popping through think a carrot or two are on their way as well - although I've decided further row of carrots will be put in raised bed after talking to plot neighbour who lost loads last year to the dreaded fly.

Came home feeling very proud everything is so far so good.

(Although I have lost some toms lesson learnt dont start too soon :D)

Went to check everything ok, some plot holders have had stuff stolen recently. My broad beans are thriving under my cheap Home and Bargains cloches, peas are looking a bit sad, should be able to cut some asparagus at weekend. Most of my early spuds are showing now. but i think i'll leave my maincrop on the windowsill a bit longer. :D
Hurray finally retired
two plots now 31A and 35A

Digging, digging and yet more digging. I was sooooo......... determined not to rotovate.
Still, not much more to do now. I should be able to start putting in maincrop by this weekend.  :)

Harvested some Rhubarb and PSB and had both for tea )
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
