finally managed to get some of that blue MDPE water pipe from the plumbers merchant, £10 for a 25m coil (i thought that was pretty cheap)

That was cheap, our local merchant charges £25 for the same length, B & Q charge £23.

i know i was sure he was going to tell me it was 20 odd pounds... it is 20mm wide though i dont know if that makes much difference? its done the job anyway

weeding and more weeding.  The French beans have failed to germinate, I think I will try them again in a tray instead.

Hoovered all the dahlia beds, don't ask ;)

Shifted about 50 paving stones 1/2 a mile from neighbours house to the field ... cheated and used a van, but still warmed me up ;)

Tomorrow's job is to start dong the final prep of dahlia beds which will take me the next 11 days solid as it's a "multi-pass" thing and then we'll be planting up ... finally, yeah, can't wait :D

Ohh yeah, need to squeeze in 2 more dentists appointments and pick up another 20 slabs in that time ... b*gger, forgot about that ... there goes the happy face :-S

Today I have put my peas and my pumpkins in also I have made them rabbit proof as we have a big problem  >:( with them I found my strawberry plants all nibbled at one day managed to salvage them I might have to fence my plot off which will be a project for next year as this is my first year.
My onions are doing well my rhubarb is not happy as the leaves are turning red so I need to sort that out.

Dosed my whole plot with organic slug pellets in prep for planting at the weekend now the mizzle is here (warm heavy mist; ideal for keeping soil moist); a combination of mist and drizzle.

Planting will be sweetcorn with Mage Toute and a couple of squashes; maybe a Butternut Squash and a Corgette. A kind of Three Sisters approach.

Sounds good!   What's the "three brothers" approach though?

I came home with three two-and-a-half whole hours spare... thought I'd go to the plot  ;)

Then worked out that I haven't sat down today for more than 2 minutes since I got up... so here I am wishing I was at the plot but wanting to sleep to rid myself of a thumping head-ache before I need to go out again.

Why can't I save up all my 2.5 hour free slots and have one whole, glorious day on the plot chilling-out and working steadily

I have had a full day at the plot finally!

So.....

Weeded and watered EVERYTHING

Planted the seetcorn and sowed some more just in case
Planted the swede seedlings
Planted Harrys strawberries
Planted Harrys pumpkins
Sowed Harrys squash
Planted Harrys sunflowers (hmmm I see a pattern)
Bunged in some spare onion sets to fill gaps in the onion bed
Sowed dwarf french, beetroot, more peas (thanks DD), Webbs Wonderful lettuce
Deadheaded the flowers

Came home, weeded the carrot/snip bed and weeded the cut and come again.
Watered EVERYTHING

(and got sunburn that Ive only just noticed after a long hot soak)
