Weeded some pathways plus sowed some more carrots, spinach, little gem, rocket, mixed salad leaves - can you tell I'm fed up with paying for salad leaves! also planted some peas and onions - onions were a freebie - love those the most :D

Yesterday I managed to plant out all my cabbages, cauliflowers and brussel sprouts in their new bed, I also put loads more compost in the bags that the potates are growing in to earth them up.

Just enjoyed being in the garden.

All I've done is dig and dig and dig and dig, trying to get a patch ready for the polytunnel. My back is killing me and yet there's more digging to be done!

No lottie for me today  :( hurt my back big style somehow  ???

Lee

Ooh, nasty, I hope it's nothing long term.  I did the same this time last year and gave myself a nasty bout of sciatica.  It took months to get over properly.     If it lasts more than a few days, go to the doc and he will refer you to your friendly local physio who will give you some soothing exercises to do.

Sowed 100 weight pumpkins for the competition. Sowed cobnut butternut squash and some runners. Made 3 pots of rhubarb jam from the rhubarb which has been sat in sugar 24hours - delicious!
The force is strong in this one!

Went down and earthed up the first earlies tonight due to possible frost in morning - the bed looks a bit like that Icelandic volcano
I'm queen of my own compost heap and I'm getting used to the smell.

Finished widening my runners bed to 4', earthed up the spuds in the ground, topped up the spuds in the bags, weeded the asparagus bed, the onion bed and the root/bean bed,. Then my dental appointment got cancelled which kinda killed the rest of the day because I'd psyched myself up to all the needles they were gonna use, now I have to do it all again :( ... especially the weeding :-S

just watered toms and cucs and peppers in the greenhouse , also the radishes under the cloche. Fed the garlic with Chempak 2 cos the leaves were yellowing , maybe a lack of nitrogen ? Does anybody agree that could be the trouble with the garlic .

I don't mind if you copy me

Actually I couldn't believ my luck finding four the same size... had them ties on the car in no time --- then panicked because I couldn'r get them under the 6 ft height bar mby our entrance and I hadn't got the top key.... had to lug two of them  down again, drive the car through and then put them back on top.

Hilarious .... taking thick cardboard to line it tomorrow and will also make a lid out of something too (don't know what yet   )
