Today I dug over the soil and planted 7 rows of spuds. Stan ( my neighbour) gave me 2 goosberry bushes, and planted them for me  :)
I also chopped of the heads of the dandelions as some were started to seed :(
I also filled up my water butt.

Planted 10 tomato plants out today, even though it was chucking it down at the time and blowing a gale.  Went back later to check on them , and they were fine.  3 plum romas, 3 sungolds and 3 alicantes, plus 1 cherry plum (name unknown).  Also checked on my Tomatillo seedlings.  These were looking good and will probably be ready to plant out in 2 weeks.  Never grown these before. Anyone out there got any tips on tomatillos ?

I'm way behind with mine after getting a bruised foot last week when the darned dog stood on it. I've just dug over one of my spud beds and planted 40 maincrop Golden Wonder. A day of rest tomorrow as my wife will be out in the car and then on weds, I have another spud bed to dig and 40 King Teds to go in. My 1st earlies are in three plastic dustbins and are about 6" high. I've just covered them and put the fleece back over them.
I'm hurting just a little.........................!

Oh.............. I nearly forgot. Cut a dozen stalks of rhubarb. Crumble tonight!  :)

That rhubarb crumble was del..............licious.............!

Early session today - got there at 8.15am. Planted some seeds under a cloche and planted some turnip seedlings (thanks Carl); some hoeing and then a well deserved coffee break!

Earthing up and bit of weeding seems to be the main job of the day, followed by Rhubarb Crumble at home  :D

I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Earthed up the potatoes and weeded around the raspberries.
Planted the French Beans seeds under homemade cloches of squash bottles so will hope that works, plus set up the bean wigwam.
Looked at the peas in dismay, hardly any seem to have germinated.

I shot to the plot and away again very soon after - still can't find my 2 stroke mixing bottle to fuel the strimmer.... so if it's not in the garage and not in the shed = someone must have it somewhere else

It was either tidied-up (so went to the tip) or has vanished into my son's boat!
Of course no one knows a thing!!

As usual - I ended up tripping into town for a replacement...

(Note: Must get a lock on the large cupboard in the garage then I'll know for sure it was me who lost it rather than the rest of them that borrowed or moved it!!)

Yesterday I watered, weeded, planted one row of beets.

Noticed Kailaan and Yellow Bok Choi are showing.

Sunny in Maidstone too  :)

Did nothing down the allotment but sowed 28 loo rolls of parsnips (Panache, a late planting variety), 12 loo rolls of Cobra Beans, and four 3 inch pots each of Burpless Tasty Green cucumber, Black Beauty courgettes, Harrier Butternut squash and two 3 inch pots of Rocket pumpkin. As well as potting on my six Hot Lemon and Monkey Face chilli plants  :)

Wife's away for a couple of days so dinning room looks like a nursery at the moment
Paul, Andrew, Kevin, Galen - My parents got bored of normal names in the end!
