Sown some seeds with my 13 year old neice.  Cucumbers, Peppers, Melons & Catmint.  We've left them to germinate on her kitchen windowsill.  The melon aftercare looks tricky, any advice from experienced melon growers would be appreciated.

I planted out the Ruby Chard, that made one row,  put in another row of Maestro carrots, sorted the netting out.  Did loads of weeding around the strawbs. and drank lots of coffee in the sunshine!

Came home and planted 6 courgettes and 6 butternuts into pots in my plastic greenhouse for me and a neighbour.  Handsome day!

A cold and windy day today, and the soil is drying out fast, so mainly watering things especially my asparagus bed and first peas.  All the asparagus all died last year, so I have replanted this year on much improved soil, and the first few stalks are coming through.  Also, first PSB sprouts showing, yay!

It's been beautiful here in S.Devon, but dry for at least 9 days now, the ground is beginning to crack, using lots of precious water from the butt.

I planted some beetroot, red onions, spinach and carrots built some cane wigwams and put my beans and peas out and my son destroyed a rotting hut. Oddly the remains of said hut appear to have given birth and I'm left with masses of rotting wood, carpet and rusty nails. I swear the bundle is bigger than the hut was!
