Not bad in my part on the coast  ;) A little rain but refreshingly warm.  :)

Sowed some Leek seeds (Almera) in a 4" deep trough indoors ready fro a cold frame when they germinate; it's an experiment!

Might do mine in a few weeks.... I've a feeling that it's not quite warm enough where I am yet even in the greenhouse.

I sowed some very early leeks a couple of years ago.

They bolted when planted out.

Those sown in March were crackers.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Cleared up the broken pane in the Greenhouse (I think it was the frame contracting in the cold which was the cause)Then tried to empty the mishapen Water Butts of their frozen contents but to no avail!

That looks a bit like moonscape Kevinp.  :( It'll warm up eventually and we can all get started on plans for the spring...... when it evetually gets here.

PS I love those blue thingymebobs your growing.... mine's still sat sitting in the shed waiting to be planted for the first time. Not used it before so still contemplating what lengths to cut it into.  ::)

Treated myself to a new aluminum friut cage so i went to the plot to stare at where it might go. As you do, i only moved a bit of raspberry cane out of my way and the next thing i knew they had all been cut down and the old cage removed completely. While i was at it, the goosgogs got their old wood removed. Just couldnt help myself today.

I normally go for 72 inch lengths, not to flimsy then ;) If you wish to higher the cage and make it stronger then I insert them into Bamboo canes and secure with Cable ties!! Don't forget the lengthways canes either for stability, again hold in place with cable ties.

First time this month I've actually done some work! The snow had bust my cold frame, and the poly tunnel doors wouldn't open because the path has risen! That's now sorted :)
Pulled my last two leeks and persuaded a couple of (small) celariac out of the 'permafrost'!

well I made a quick visit to my plot, finished trimming the long hedge back, I now have two big piles waiting to dry a bit for a bonfire (or two) and dug another patch about 2yds square. its nice to get back to doing something useful, even if the soil is a bit claggy.
