Collected 10 bags of good old horse poo! Nicely rotted and enough left for plenty more trips. Very handy new supply.

Also started digging out all the old plants from the beds. The change of the seasons.  :)

Dug the rest of my sweet potatoes. Lifted chilli, pepper & aubergine plants for the great overwintering experiment. Planted my Shakespeare onion sets (71 of them) & sowed green manure over the rest of the bed. (Had a good chat with my neighbour - she is very stressed out!)

I'm digging up the couch grass at the moment - intended doing about an hour, but afer about 15 mins, noticed that the henhouse light had been left on, went over to turn it off and NO CHICKENS, they had managed to get out and go off for a wander, all but one found, then we all spent half an hour wandering around shouting "Squish, Squishy"  ::) She was finally found, then back to tthe weeding and 10 minutes later the dog wandered past covered in blood!
I though he had caught something, but on closer inspection blood was dripping from his ear, so shower and clean up later, some antiseptic and it was too late to carry on!!

Tomorrow may be better hopefully!

We spent a lovely time (actaully relaxing for once!) picking loads of apples. I also took time to stand & gently ponder over the next stage of my pallet shed building now that the gruelling ground work is done..

....then noticed that some %^&$ has nicked my new wheelbarrow ! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

..I've evil thoughts of retribution flooding in to my imagination that would make an animal vivsectionist wince..

..a home made apple pie is needed to methinks. :D

I marvelled at the fact I still have tomatoes and chillis ripening in the polytunnel, planted some overwintering onions and garlic (finally, been trying to get around to that for a few weeks), and cleared loads of beds. Also planted some Comfrey Bocking 14 kindly sent to me my Molusc - half in pots and half straight into the ground.

Thanks Yorkie, just had a quick look and it's great!
My mate works at a sunbed manufacturer so he's getting me really big pallets for nowt!
There are quite a few industrial estates and car showrooms that have said I can collect theirs  aswell. I hope to have it built before Christmas, but as I am useless at DIY we will have to see!! ::)

Planted Raspberries, Blackcurrants, Redcurrants and cleared a few square metres of Couch, so much more accomplished without escaping chickens and blooming dogs

Didn't make it to plot but did pot up chilli/peppers, etc for overwintering (and repotted a couple of orchids too but I'm not planning on eating them!)

Awesome polytunnel! I'm looking forward to getting my new & larger allotment so I can get a polytunnel up and running.
