Trimmed my hedge back (it had gone a bit wild) and dug over some ground. Then tidied the greenhouse up a bit.

called in this morning on my way to work and we've had a frost in the night!
There's more comfrey here than you can shake a stick at!

Back from holiday to find the weeds have taken over again :(
Spent most of yesterday rescuing plants that had been smothered.
On the bright side I found that  while I've been away some of my cauliflowers have actually produced  heads that are worthy of eating (Done all on their own with little help from me) The same with the cabbage. :D
I put it down to the great accommodation OH built from them, really must find out how to post pics on here ::)

Got rid of all my greenhouse tomato plants, empties and cleaned two raised beds.  Applied some liquid manure we'd made; cleaned, tidied and weeded three patio areas filling two garden waste bins in the process; cleaned up a border; cut two lawn edges; moved between twenty and thirty planters and finally spread shale on one patio.      But my god I feel great!!! :D :D :D :D

I am exhausted just reading that - you have really been busy. House work in the morning then clearing one veggie patch. Finally tried to zap some weeds - might be a bit late in the year but they are still growing.

I peaked at 5pm and it's been downhill since!  I'll certainly ache tomorrow. :nowink:

Moved the bird table and some feeders and that seems to have encouraged Fat Bob the robin even closer to the house.  Too much at the moment - I feel a bit fair-weather - but will venture forth later when I've done a bit of crafting.
