Can't think of a better use for Fosters apart from tipping it on the soil.

Got around to digging some Kestrel yesterday. Crackers! Straight (almost) into the oven to bake and served with fillet steak. Spoiled our selves rotten.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Yesterday I
Cut all the heads off my fennel (to prevent another invasion)
dug the last of my middle bed potatoes
dug a bean trench
sowed some field beans
and picked loads and loads more beans, four courgettes and a couple of carrots.

Most of all I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful sunshine and not being at work!

Just stumbled to and from the greenhouse  - can't see very well as I woke up with conjunctivitis.  I look so attractive.  Always something the day before you're due to go out.

I woke up with conjunctivitis.

Does your husband that you mentioned on the "Scam" thread know about this?

Yes, Mr D does know about my conjuctivitis, now!  Despite the red, bloodshot eye and the yellow gudge coming out of it I did have to point it out to him at teatime.  This is the same man that also notices everything else about me, not!!!  We've only been married 118 years (seems like it) so he's still learning to be observant.  I think he spends too much time in front of the computer mailing-shotting poor unsuspecting ladies begging to marry them.   But hey, we've well and truly moved away from the theme of the thread. :D

harvested my squash, dug up remainder of pots, cut down old pea plants, general tidy up, picked a few strawberries, hopefully will have more next year with extra plants from runners.

Lamenting that I can't go to the National Gardening show as planned, as my husband has food poisoning so can't look after the children. Now trying to comjure up an enticing plan to get the kids down to the allotment so he can have peace and I can do stuff - like staring and planning the bit I've had covered over for months. And hoping that he will be well tomorrow so I can go to the show and pick up some cheap plants at the end of the day.....

The plan for today is to harvest my outdoor tomatoes for making green tomato chutney this evening (before they go red as some are starting to), and if a certain fellow allotmentee is around I'lll be nicking some of his strawberry runners and transplanting them in my fruit bed.  Lots of courgette blanching and freezing later too.

Still stumbling round with conjunctivitis but managed to get into the garden, briefly, to harvest tomatoes, peppers, spring onions and some lovely lettuce.  Can't go to Chatsworth Country Fair today coz I can't see!  ;)  Hoping to be better tomorrow.  Planning on sitting in the garden later and drinking lashings of coffee and eating more very low fat biscuits (I wish). ::)
