Finally got round to clearing the area round the pond noticed that froggy had taken up residence in the stone wall. Made it so I could get down the path past the sloes, three years and not 1 sloe for my gin feel a digging session coming on.

Drink the gin and leave the sloes to get on with it... at least it'll take your mind off worrying about them  ;)

moved some herbs in the herb bed and took out a bit of dead stuff that didn't look nice, spent a while smelling everything and explaining to my deafblind son all the names and getting him to smell them to see if he will remember when I ask him again  ...lets see if he can remember the smell to the name of the herb.

Weeded my veggie beds (the weeds always seem to grow well   >:(  and watered.

Pulled some radish, lettuce, rocket and tomatos to go with our dinner tonight.  :D

Smiled at my chilli plant cos the fruits look lovely now......anxiously waiting for one to be pickable  ::)

Also noticed some flowers on my late peas that I'm sure wasn't there yesterday  :D

More digging on new allotment - one of my fellow allotment holders has given me some of his overgrown courgettes so came home with something to cook.

Dug up the last of the pots, not a lot really, bit disappointed. :(

Watered and feed half the plot, will do rest tomorrow.

Picked a few DF & CF beans, some nice yellow toms, also some plum toms and some C & C. lettuce. Pulled half a dozen carrots and some celery, first time I've had either of these from the allotment so eager to try them.  :tongue2:
Blackberries still have loads on so having some for tea, but still waiting for the damsons to ripen :D

as the fox had trashed the debris netting again, I gave up and took it off
Perhaps he will go and play on sommeone elses netting now and give me a break.

I'd rather have some holey cabbages survive than this endless flattening of them and the swede.  3 baby swede came home for tea, as the tops were completely snapped off :(

Lots of blackberries to pick in the morning :)

Last night I managed to get the rotavator on my plot for an hour or so ... my god thats hard work never used one before but by the time I had really got the hang of it, it was time for home. Anyway I have booked it for a full day next tuesday.

I did manage to rotavate three of my beds so I will be able to get my brassicas in when they arrive.  oh and turnips.

The the kale and sprouting broc and leeks I have in are doing fine and the kahlrabi carrots and lettuce are just showing on the seed bed.

had I gone to the lottie today, instead of staying indoors nursing a bad chest, I would have dug up the last of me spuds...will do that tomorrow if the rain stays away. Hopefully find some more blackberries. I am hoping someone tries to mention the C........s word so I can chuck them in the village pond outside the gates of the site. Or is that a little harsh? ::)
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required

Can you imagine the shock for someone? Just chatting and talking pleasantly about things, then mention the C word, and suddenly WHOOSH in they go!  Brilliant
