We were totally amazed tbh as the size was kind of not obvious under the leaves

The ones in the greenhouse are alomost as big, but then I would expect them to grow well in there  :tongue2:

well nothing at the lotty today, but in the back garden planted out 24 new sonata strawberry plants that arrived yesterday, and potted up at least 24 runners off the 4 years old plants that will be ditched at the end of the season. Current estimates are that I will have about 100 plants next year... the only problem.. where to fit them all!!  :tongue2:

Our beautiful Alsation had cencer a couple of years ago and had to be put down.  The vet came and did it at home.  Very sad of course bur it was totally peaceful and she just drifted off to sleep without even a twitch.  Very civilised, what a pity they can't do for humnans yet.

Remember you are doing what is best for your dog that you love and don't delay too long in getting another one.

Be brave and strong.

Thank you for your kind wishes.  The results should be back on Monday so tomorrow will be walkies day and extra special Sunday lunch day  for obvious reasons.

Will keep everyone up-to-date with the latest news.

Sorry you've had a difficult year - great to have help on the plot but not the same (I'm sure you'll say) as doing it yourself.

Wishing you improved health... in the meantime - enjoy the rest and cool cucumber slices  ;)

If any seeds are produced later on save some - you may be onto a winner there!  ;)

What a rubbish day.

Took my onions up and my carrots - not a great harvest from either really.:( Going to put the greenhouse cucumber out of it's misery later :mad:and my tomatoes aren't ripening.

Why is that when you don't put much effort in then everything grows.  This year I tried to do it all by the book and well, hey ho!  Disaster. :(  The only good thing is that I now have two freshly turned areas ready to start again with something else.

I certainly think you have to have an abundance of patience as a gardener and quite a laid back attitude.  Maybe I have the wrong hobby!

There's always plan B to fall back on, whatever that is. :D

;) I sometimes wonder the same thing but remind myself of the socialising, gossip and general tittle tattle us 'allotmenters' thrive on week in week out. Then i realise what i would be missing, anyway it is a wonderful way to unwind from my stressful day job

PS my onions and carrots are the worst i have ever cropped, must be the weather, mind you i always say that when anything is poor.

keep your dibber up!

weeded, hoed, watered.. sum total of my day at the lotty.. in the garden my day once more seem to be consumed by potting up strawberry runners!
