They tell you when they're going to inspect?
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

They set an inspection day on our site as well and the site rep makes sure all the paths and hedges are cut and tidy in time :D

They take us by suprise, send out nasty letters and post a list of offending plots on the prison site gates.

We get a weeks notice that they will inspect the following week, but don't tell the plotholders which day. They have to inform the chairman of the exact timing................otherwise they can't get in.  :)

yea i have only had my plot since december and i hoped that it would be in great nick by now . But i have only cleared about half and covered the rest . I hope i dont get into too much bother come inspection day ! I love it though . Made my first meal from it - a bean and bacon dish from this site . :-)

Watered some of the beds. That's about it. Had a lovely dinner with the Chard and Courgette. Very happy.  :D

Our plot inspections happen a couple of times a year (not sure when) and then at random - no notice as far as I am aware. I'm rather pleased about this - allows for a "take it as you find it" attitude one that Ofsted would be better employing as there's no additional stress that way  ;)

finished digging my second earlies - only main crop still left in. All onions, shallots and garlics now at home, cleaned and netted - hanging beautifully in the garage. Pickling jars soon to emerge! Plot still dry as dust - loads of watering. Picked tons of runners, courgettes, beetroot, French beans, lettuce, spring onions and Hispi cabbage. Donated my ankles to the insects.  :(
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required

planted nadines potato seeds this year and gave a few to my next door to grow in his allotment. my next door was more surprised than me how good the potato's turned out
his one potato was as long as a brick, said this alone would feed us for 2 days and for the 1st time since growing my own food i had some decent spuds  :)  . Been growing King edwards for past 2 yrs and never got a good yield due to worms eating most of them but yesterday i was glad to see some nice big spuds with no holes come out of the soil  :)  can't wait to dig some more

i put up a decent frame of bamboo , at last , for the second batch of runner beans that are living up to their names now and growing fast . Picked a few peas and beans again. And i weeded, a lot . I think i am best at growing weeds. Docks are my speciality but i also grow several other varieties.

Peapod is the Gallery moderator and will authorise any newly posted pictures very soon I'm sure.

You can imagine what might happen if we didn't need authorisation to post pictures

When into the greenhouse and cried my eyes out today.

One of my dogs (Honey) has developed a really fast growing lump on her neck and I'm taking her to the vets this morning.  I think it's cancer.  I've cried to much that I don't need to water the tomatoes.

Wish us a miracle.
