Kept out of the way while John did the hoovering :D

Weeded a bit, lifted my shallots which are a bit disappointing after last years success, should have used same variety.

Planted out a pumpkin plant which has been lurking in the greenhouse.

Run out of earlies so lifted a forkfull of the mains, looking lovely and some big spuds.
The reward of a thing well done is to have done it....

No healthy eating birthday party round the dining-room table then?

How wise!!  ;)

I have done very little for the last week. My next task is to eliminate the slugs that have come out of nowhere and have started to chow down on my swiss chard. Not very happy about that really.  :tongue2:

Just harvested the garlic whilst the soil was damp - lovely crop. A few small bulbs but in general very good for the first time.

I've had to spend a lot of time trying to protect my plants from this terrible wind. Everything is tied to something, there's canes and string everywhere and I've even resorted to using sticks picked up on dog walks!
Did manage to pick heaps more raspberries which will be eaten as is as they are lovely. I wish I knew what kind they were because I would highly recommend them. :)

Haven't got an allotment but today i sowed Autumn/Winter stuff - carrots, radish, cabbage, little gem & choy sum. Also found a fantastic container to put my Christmas spuds in :)

Don't be too disappointed if the radish bolt. They tend to do better earlier in the year, they don't like the warmer weather.

What are you sowing & growing in?
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
