We weeded, and weeded and weeded.... We put in a row of french and runner beans that we had started off in the greenhouse and are now a good size, planted out some more cucumbers, corn, courgettes and pumpkins gthat were taking over the greenhouse

Nipping down to water once it cools down as am concerned about watering mid-day (not sure if this is overworrying?)

Great success with germinating the Chard & spinach. Carrots doing good as well. Really pleased. Lots of watering tomorrow and more digging (preparing new beds all the time).

Didn't get to the lotty til 9pm as had a day trip to London to see a show.
When we did get there, didn't really do much except water a couple of squashes that were in desperate need and then spent an hour chatting to some other plot holders.

Painted the shed and threw the brush away - next time I am using a sprayer!
Planted some dwarf Beans and some Bee Borage.
Watered the squashes - starting to harvest corgettes and some squashes starting to form.
Picked some mange toute and strawberries for tea.
Took the dog for a run on the park - came back panting (the dog, not me).

Finished another bed today. Going to get them all dug before winter and cover them up. Let the frost break up the clay.

Also planted 4 courgettes today. Most pleased with myself today. I must write up my diary though.
