Found my globe artichoke is not dead, I thought it had been murdered by the hard frost this winter. It has 4 small leaves about 4 inches long, does anyone know how I can nurture it back to health?

Sorted out the larger of my 2 mini greenhouses, I potted up 3 cucumbers (long white) and these are now happily set up with supports in the greenhouse. I also potted on 3 peppers. Moved some fushias outside to harden off. Need to do some weeding in the veg plot but it was too cold :(
The reward of a thing well done is to have done it....

I planted 15 runner beans + an extra seed at each station, 15 climbing french beans + 15 seeds, and 15 cherokee trail of tears bean plants + 15 seeds.  I planted lettuce plants in between the rows of beans. I also hoe'd about a dozen slugs.  :)

Limbo-danced up my garden this afternoon to avoid getting soaked by my overgrown hedge and found part of it is being replaced by my world-dominating raspberries!

Glad there's a bit of dry weather forecast; hedge-cutting is not my favourite gardening job though!  :(
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Took over three large bags of grass mowings and a couple of plastic drink bottles for future bamboo canes from the council copse over the road, collected slugs and dropped them in the dog poo bin on the way home.

Grass cuttings in compost bin and mulching the potatoes a bit more.

I'm happy, their happy, the dog's happy. We're all happy.

Planted out my runner, french and borlotti beans.  Also 3 courgettes and 6 winter squashes and a block of 9 sweetcorn.  Now just have to hope for a decent summer as I do love sweetcorn and butternuts!

We had that torrential rain as well. I went down the plot about 9am after the rain finally stopped, and because the soil is so light and sandy, it was surprisingly workable  :)
Managed to plant dwarf beans and leeks. Also put canes and twine around three rows of broad beans. Dismantled some glass cloches, drank a flask full of coffee and came back home. Well satisfied  :)
Cheers, Comfortably Numb.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long ..........................

Lovely weather early evening so went down to lottie so OH could try out our new petrol strimmer.  At least all this rain has made weeding easier.  Potatoes and runner beans are growing well.  Will pick first broad beans at the weekend.  Took a couple of bottles of beer with us - aah, bliss :)
