electric red onions

anyone else growing these,planted them last autumn and they look about ready,am i right in thinking that you should wait till stems start to die off before digging up ,saying that a few are trying to push themselves up,same with my Japanese onions :shock:

thanks aunt sally   ,i seem to use onions on a daily basis in our house so should be ok with them,plus neighbouring plotholders have taken notice of them so may get rid of a couple there .they were really disappointing me up until a couple of weeks ago and then all of a sudden they seem to have doubled in size
