anyone else growing these,planted them last autumn and they look about ready,am i right in thinking that you should wait till stems start to die off before digging up :) ,saying that a few are trying to push themselves up,same with my Japanese onions :shock:

I planted these last autmn too mum.  Wait until the tops fall over and go brown before lifting.  They won't store as long as spring planted onions so use these first.

thanks aunt sally  :D ,i seem to use onions on a daily basis in our house so should be ok with them,plus neighbouring plotholders have taken notice of them so may get rid of a couple there :lol: .they were really disappointing me up until a couple of weeks ago and then all of a sudden they seem to have doubled in size  :)
