I cut plastic milk bottles up...the bottom halves make pots, the tops are cut into strips for
labels :)

We have used yoghurt pots, cheap plastic labels from the pound shop and many other things but this is the ultimate false economy.

Small labels get trodden on, kicked out of place and lost leading to lost and hoed up seedlings.

This year we will get lengths of thin planed timber and cut it into 200mm lpieces of a good size that can be firmly planted and easily seen

What do you write on them with? I tried plastic milk bottle labels but the ink faded.

I buy labels from our lotty shop, write on them with pencil, then I don't rub off last year's thing properly, write something else and confuse myself.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

I use strips of plastic milk bottle for small pots. For marking rows on the plot i use short pieces of electrical cable capping , the stuff they fix over cables before plastering. There are always plenty of offcuts on building sites, in skips etc. It lasts for years.

I use the rigid plastic strips that my parcels come tied up with, and permanent marker, seems to work well.

In addition to labels I have a sketch of the plot that I mark up with variety etc. Labels have a habit of getting knocked, picked up to check and then put back in the wrong place! etc.

I like the laminating idea, not tried that before, thanks for that.

laminating sounds good! Doh! Why didn't I think of that!!!! I do tend to do what Noshed does, leading to confusion, which isn't good on top of being Welsh and bonkers already........ :D
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required
