Carrots, aren't they great

Pulled up a few to thin out the row and have got a nice crop for my dinner.  They look so healthy.  It is the one thing I do not have trouble growing (I know many stear clear),



Ive three successional rows in and they are all growing well, if you can see them amongst the rest.

But I am very poor at growing parsnips any tips from anyone.  The biggest problem is germination (i use fresh seed)

I grew too many parsnips last year so OH took over this year,he sowed 3 rows,ignored all my advice and we are playing hunt the parsnip,still at least they don`t need thinning!!I`m not upset though since I don`t actually like them even if turned to wine!
