Is this the best way to start seeds
« on: February 23, 2010, 16:46 »
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=65 here they talk  about making seeds go leggy so get optimum root growth for a good stare, i know it wouldn't work for stuff that doesn't send roots out the stem but would it be good for things like toms, these guys are the pro giant pumpkin growers, should i do it??

When I grow my big (86lbs+) Atlantic giants I bury the plant every 10 feet or so, so it forms a root system along the plant. I have never tried the leggy seedling method.
