Hi Mandy,

Don't want to hijack the thread, but couldn't resist saying hello to someone we'd been missing.

Fine here thanks, apart for seasonal bugs.

Please don't stay a stranger,  I'm sure showing the strength you can find will help others.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

tired of waiting. and daring to take risk. I have a raised bed in front patio waiting for some plants (i can see cat paw marks in the morning) I am going to put some spinach seeds 3 varieties i have and cover it with fleece today or tomorrow.

I reckon they might stick their nose up eventually....

I usually try mine out indoors in those wonderful paper-pots and, once they are up, stick them in the soil when no one is looking

my window sills are full of sprouting cabbages, caulies, sprouts, toms, cuc, aubergine, chillies, lettuce (well, the trays on the sills  :nowink:) and my greenhouse has in modules 200 onions, shallots, garlics. Then there are the 100 parsnips in Richys magic paper pots. Then there's the spuds chitting, which might well go in this weekend...............HURRAH ::)
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required

Mine are Early Onward variety. I just got some guttering pipe and sowed seeds in that, ready to slide straight into a trench at my lotty.  I struggle with mice stealing pea seeds if direct sown into the lotty soil, plus my seeds are more protected from the weather at home, aiding germination.

Lots of potatoes chitting away happily.
Garlic in the ground - I'd started it off in pots outside as I hadn't dug the bed!
Last week started off some toms in the propagator.
Also broad beans and cabbage in root trainers and leeks in cat litter tray, in a DD styleee.
Lots and lots to do but it's too cold and I haven't got a greenhouse... and anyway most of the plot still needs digging
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....
