cant find rain diverter for rectangular drain
« on: May 27, 2007, 14:44 »
I have an IBC storage cube for my waterbut and want to connect it to my drains.  My drains are metal and rectangular - 80mm wide and 55mm deep.  I cant find any diverter kits to fit or a reducer to change to a round or square pipe.

Any ideas....  The only thing I thought of was pot the drain pipe straight into the butt and have an overflow tube out of the but into the drain.
Avoid fruit and nuts.  You are what you eat.

Is there a manufacturers' name any where on the pipes, fittings or clips?

(or even a part ref nr to enable a search).

I've had a look and I cant find any details on the pipes.

This is going to be tricky!

if you want the right fitting then get your walking boots on pookey cus there are loads of different sizes  .
if you dont mind it being to pretty you can get a flexseal fitting, there idealy suited for round pipes but with a bit of hammering you can shape the jubilee clip to fit on a square pipe, have a look at there site here http://www.flexseal.co.uk/

Thanks Shaun, a flexi seal could work.  I am going to try and find a pipe with a similar diameter, then one of these little fellas could work perfect!
