Hi all im a newbie and as  its my first year growing veg i would just like some advice on fertilizers iv brought some growmore today i know its not organic and not everyones choice but ill try it aswell as this is it also worth buying a liquid fertilizer and if so wots best and cheapest !Im growing things like chilli,toms,sprouts,carrots,pots,cabbage etc thanks!

I'm by no means an experienced grower but I have used growmore, fish, blood, bone but have just ordered some comfrey roots to grow and make my own fertilizer, from the research i've done its better than most commercial ones and in the long run much cheaper.

Deffo need some tom feed, thats for sure.

I made loads of comfrey feed last year and used in almost everything..seemed to work well

I had some success with chicken poo pellets last year  - my french beans in a pot started to turn yellow while we were on holiday and I dissolved some pellets in water and it sorted them out. I have heard you can also do the same with compost - the soluble minerals end up in the water and can be used as a feed.
