Caulis do not need to be in a house. If they are 3" high and only just getting a true leaf, then they have got drawn.
You cannot put them straight outside, now they have got use to the warmth.
You can try & rescue them by potting them up, as deep as you can get them, but you'll have to be very gentle as these drawn stems will be very fragile.
Try & grow them on a bit to re-establish the roots and then harden off.
I grow them in nothing warmer than a greenhouse with enough heat just to keep the frost off.
