The record weighing pumpkins in the USA are without exception 'Dills Atlantic Giant', or the near progeny of!.  The Antlantic Giant, is in fact, of Canadian origin. All the 1000 pounders are from the Atlantic Giant line!
Those being sold on e-Bay in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support are hand pollinated, and therefore direct descendants of the true Atlantic Giant!
