whats the best way to clear grassland

i dont want to use chemicals so i dunno whether to turn the sod and bury ir or lift it away and dump it?? is there any other good ways to do this

If it's got weeds or couch grass in it you will need to dig the roots out.

Otherwise, as Andy says, if you want to use the ground this season I'd lift the minimum possible, stack grass to grass in a heap and allow to rot down.

In my experience grass just grows back if you just turn it in, and makes the soil quite hard to dig, but others may have better tips.
