Nice try, DD (don't hold your breath!)  :nowink:
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

No way!

I posted that link nearly 3 years ago. I would have expired long ago,
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thanks Mumofstiq, found Antoinet (early) Moulin Rouge (main) to have moderate resistance to the pests in question - anybody out there grown these varieties - comments please.

Surprised Aunt Sally didn't suggest getting some chickens on your plot to get rid of the slugs and wire worms! That would certainly reduce potato damage dramatically and also feed the plot.

Although I have seen it what causes hollow heart? I always assumed, probably wrongly, that it was caused by over feeding!

Missed that DD thanks.

Another thing thats worth doing is to place a few potatoes cut in half on canes under the ground near to where the potaoes have been planted. These can be pulled out after a few weeks and examined. If you have got pests these potatoes will have been attacked first. Least you will know what you are dealing with. Nematodes can help with slug problems but wire worms are a bit more difficult but over time as suggested they will reduce in numbers.
