Strawberry spiders
« on: May 23, 2007, 15:13 »
I am growing strawberries in a pot in my garden and I seem to have a family of spiders that have moved in.  I would say there are at least 10 spiders almost an inch across.

Are they attracted to the strawbs or is it just coincidence?

Can I encourage them to move out?

No flies of any kind are going to trouble the strawberries while they're there!  Why not leave them be?

Good point WG, it is just that there seems to be loads of them.

If I can find the camera, some batteries and the funny lead thing I will post a piccie.

Just be sure to wear sturdy gloves when you pick the berries. They really resent intruders, as I've found many times.
