Have you thought of asking fellow plot holders to grow some for you for a small fee.
It would work out cheaper for you and them

Or theres these and many others, just google "veg plug plants"

Well Tez, I live in north Manchester about 20 mins drive from Rochdale if it's any good to you. When I start my veg seeds, I always have too many seedlings and if you want to collect them I will make sure there is more than enough of everything. What particular veg plants do you want?

I allways end up buying veg plugs  :( , I do try and grow from seed but they all seem to hate me and die within a few days  :( Im probably doing it all wrong so I am adimant to grow from seed this year and get it right! (hopefully )

Just looked at that site, five leeks or 5 beetroot for £2.99  You may as well get them fully grown at the supermarket and save yourself the bother and some money.

Hiya,

Never bought plug plants myself, but this seems to have a good selection.

Do agree though, that most of the plug plants you buy work out too expensive!

Hi Tez, plug plants can be purchased from garden centres and online with the major drawback being the price.  You said you have slabs in the back garden - could you perhaps start growing in pots?  I use a few pots and they are quite succesful.  You could direct sow salad leaves, radish, carrots etc cutting out on the need to grow seeds/replant etc.

OK Tez, here are the ones I will be starting off in pots.

Tomatoes (cherry)
Tomatoes (beefsteak)
Sweetcorn (supersweet)
Cabbage
Sprouts(early)
Sprouts (late)
Cauliflower
Onion (mammoth)
Leek (giant)
Parsnip (giant)
Kale.

Let me know which you want and roughly how many and I will make sure I grow extra for you. By the way I don't want anything at all for them.

  Robbo.

P.S. Jamie Butterworth, if you have problems with your seeds, I will have spares for you too if you want.
