A few years ago my husband bought me a mitre saw for my birthday. He tells me made the mistake of telling the cashier in B&Q that he was buying it for his wife for Christmas. She didn't approve. He then dug himself deeper by mentioning that I was 6 months pregnant
But it was just what I wanted - we were putting in a new kitchen.
