Hi, i have a beautiful hen crossed between a legbar and a welsumer, she lays olive green eggs, hence her name...wernlas olive! we bought her from wernlas poultry, so they will have lots of different breed names from other places i would imagine

the green egg is hers, although they are more olivey than they look on here

And this is olive-she really is  lovely bird

hi! araucanas lay blue eggs too, they are a pure breed and come in bantam and large fowl form although the large fowl is quite a small hen.  They come in a variety of colours - black, red, cuckoo and lavender is probably the most popular colour. where abouts in the country are you? someone will probably tell you where you can get hold of them.  good luck :)

Cream Legbars lay blue eggs too, and the chicks are autosexing. I have just sold my CLB eggs on ebay, as it is a breed I keep. The hens are known to be rather flighty though. Araucanas lay blue eggs, and are really beautiful, but prefer the company of other araucans or they can get quite aggressive. If you look on the poultry pages on here, there is a good list of breeders. :D or is that a list of good breeders?    must be the latter, cos I'm in it  :tongue2:
Pets:if you don't love them like family, don't have them
