Morning.

I've had a White Star since August and she was laying wonderful white eggs. Well since before Christmas, she suddenly stopped. Her comb fell over and she looked miserable as anything. I checked her over for beasties, egg bound, etc but nada. After a week her comb picked up and so did she. She is taking dust bath with the others again, but still no sign of an egg.

Easy to spot her egg, as the other lay various shades of brown. She is with 1 Amber Star, 1 Bluebelle and a Gold star.

She is eating and drinking find and dandy as well.. could it just be the weather?

could just be short daylight hours, when the days get longer they start to lay more, maybe she is just having a rest in the cold as it is taking more of her energy to keep warm this weather.
they will only lay when they are happy and heathy, she might just be a little off colour and cold.
as long as she is eating ok, and looks ok, i am sure she will come back into lay soon

That's what I was thinking, thanks. The other 3 are laying like there is no tomorrow, but she is a small breed...

My three have not laid for a week and that's unheard of.  I'm blaming the weather.  They seem fine in themselves. They're outside now scratting about and have just had some greens

well I guess she didn't like Christmas or the cold weather and she started to lay again last week....  bless her. Thanks for the replies.
