When doing crop rotations, potatoes always get the replenished manure plot as they're heavy feeders. Lots of aged manure, compost if you have any and a bit of organic fertilizer should get you through the season with good results. I know a few put a comfrey leaf at the bottom of each planting hole (be sure to let the leaf dry 2 days first or it will sprout into a major headache). Keep weeded, not too much water, and hill it up through the season.

I grow mine in lots of muck but it does make them a bit scabby, not that I mind as I'm eating them rather than putting them on a show bench.  Our lotty folk swear by expensive potato fertiliser but I use the comfrey leaf trick under each tuber  :)  Home made compost would be ok to use as well

Hi there super veg man, i too have just started to chitmypotatoes (maris pipers) and have also like you built some raised beds for them. When it comes to dealing with crop rotyation though, i only have two beds and if i put in some well rotted manure in this year for my spuds, would that prevent me from growing brassicas next year in that bed? Just trying to plan out my next few years, thinking in advance  ;) (well theres a first timefor everything) any help would be great
