Wow, had a dig and got my first few, but small potatoes (tub grown indoors) on Sunday plus my peas(in garden outside) are ready and I have broad beans (also in greenhouse) already in the pods so not long till I can pick some.  

I started everything way too early but its nice to get some fresh veggies this early on.  This is out first season in our new house and with a huge garden and greenhouse, to let us do this so it was a bit of a premature planting as I was excited to be able to do so.  Next year I will learn by my mistakes this year and not plant so much as I have so much (flowers and veg seedlings) I am giving it away.

Greenhouse pot grown runner beans, cougettes and cucumbers are also in flower.  I have always loved to grow stuff but this is fab and to have the room a real bonus.

small ones are sweeter, so they say! Sounds like you've found a bit of paradise there.

I've been growing veg on and off for 30 years and still don't get the quantities right - but you do get better at judging it.

I just hate not giving every seedling the chance to grow up so grow more year on year and not less!!  But freecycle will happily soak up any excess you don't have room for in your own vege and flower plots.
