(oh............. unless you are growing onions from seed rather than sets, maybe)

 I do have some onion seeds in the cupboard, it would mean a trip down to the igloo down the garden lol i will wait i think.

I've sown onions, very early caulis & winter gem lettuce, but that's in a greenhouse with a slight bit of heat to keep the frost off.

Totally unheated I wouldn't have done it.

All i have right now is some rolls of insullation that are waiting to be put up DD.

Ive sown my onion seeds in a tray on the kitchen window ledge  - just couldnt wait to get started! :D

I have put my broad beans in pots in an unheated greenhouse, but the root balls have extra insulation around them to stop them freezing.

That`s a job i normally do around boxing day but with all the snow it slipped my mind. I will start a couple of trays off tomorrow (if i can find the seed) and start a few chillies too. :)
