Clary, our Bovan Nera has laid her first egg! I thought something was up when she went back into the coop this morning. Egg is small but perfectly formed. I haven't got round to buying oyster shell yet so was relieved shell was hard. Just waiting for hubby to return from allotment so we can eat it. Boiled I think.
Now have Mary our Warren trying but think she's not so advanced  :!:

Nice one.
One small egg between the two of you sounds like a big feast!
Betja its the best egg you've ever tasted.

I´m getting 3 eggs a day (mostly) yesterday it was just 2, but enough for the pair of us. The tiny hens (don´t know what breed) are due to start laying soon. Exciting days
