Try to avoid tongue & groove boards and lapping boards as these are red mite des-res. If you need to back the onduline a piece of painted plywood will have less nooks and crannies for nasties to hide in.

What i did was build the roof flat to start with
then put another one above that with a 2 " or so gap
an slop the 2nd roof to run the rain off with a overhang
all round ' fill in the side gap'its like a double glazed window
so the cold stays on the top sheet (plywood) an then u can paint it with a roofing
seal' there are many' a few coats ' snug as a bug!

i have been given some expert advice by foxy on what to do with my roof only prob is this blinking weather >:( >:( . my roof is damp the house is damp although i have managed to place a couple  of boards on the outside to stop the drips getting into one  side of the house for now , my roof at the mo is part of the old wooden roof that was once the apex and a massive sheet of tarpaulin folded over 5 times its that large  :tongue2: i soooooooo cant wait to get it sorted though .

THANKYOU all so much, fabulous tips and advice, so helpful, you are all a fab lot!! Yes I know how you feel with this weather cant do a thing, just wish had the  weather to be able to do the few changes to the roof, hubby got the clear corrugated sheets and did a huge expanse of it to the outside run area, so they can be out but protected from the elements, but cant wait to get the coop roof done
