would've thought they were too big, ducks dont have crops to store food like chickens do, just my opinion though. I feed mine this time of year a mix of 50:50 pellets and grains

I feed mine wheat but often feed it in water.
When you buy a bag of "mixed corn" it includes wheat - confused yet?
So what sort of corn do you mean?
I have been upping my runner's grain ration and reducing their pellets as when I move them to the field/pond I am hoping to let them forage for more of their food naturally and knock the pellets on the head completely. (I don't like commercially prepared food).
What sort of grains do you feed, Foxy?

Hi rubellite, I feed either wheat with pellets, or mixed corn mixed with pellets

Thanks for all the help. They seem happy (and fat) with just grazing and crushed corn. ^ 6 months old now and not an egg in sight yet. Am I spoiling them with food ?  ;), maybe they are having just to merry a Christmas.
