« on: December 01, 2009, 08:06 »
I went out to my Cauliflower this morning and the frost has affected the plant. Also the heads were wight and and now yellowy. Will they be ok  as I have avoided picking them because tey are not fully formed.

How did this get back to the top?

They have probably been touched by frost. Eat ASAP.

Cabbages should stand being frozen, especially Savoys & January King. Don't compost them yet!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I grow Walchren Amilo(?) April. Sorry bout the spelling but the heads are well covered and are pretty much non existant at present but have never let me down yet. They get really big and hold well.
Must admit that i looked at the other brassicas yesterday and they all needed a little love and care but i,m quite sure they will reward me later. You could say they looked like a naughty Beagle with his ears drooping down, very forlorn!
