« on: November 30, 2009, 19:23 »

Go to your local GC and see if they have any patio fruit trees. As for the rhubarb, that`s enough space for only 1 crown, I`m afraid. :D

As I said, look for patio ones. They should grow only to around 5 or 6 feet tall. Another option would be a couple of Ballerina or Minaret trees.

Bakker have some patio trees with apricot and plum grafted onto the same rootstock, a companion or family tree. They are about £15. Theres 2 types of cherry too!

Patio Fruit Trees have been grafted onto a dwarfing rootstock like M27 or M9.
blackmoor have a nice selection; but if you do a google search you will find a range of suppliers.

Any one got any experience with garden express?  Not sure about quality, but the price is good for one year whips perhaps?

Hi gizooty. I like the idea of the mini fruit tree surrounded by flowers  :)

Rhubard I've seen has huge leaves that might overshadow strawberries perhaps

Could you grow the strawberries in a tower, or a hanging basket maybe

it depends on the root stock that is grafted,
