Hope all ok?
Over the last 10 days i have noticed that two of my silkie girls have started to loose the feathering around their eyes, and think it may look very slightly scabby. both these hens have been broody over the last month, and have finally managed to break that cycle!!
 I have thoroughly cleaned out their hen house( do it every two weeks with poultry shield), and have smeared vsseline n any corners. I have also used barrier powder on them , and after reading posts on here, have sprayed with Johnson`s  Budgie mite spray. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas?Haven`t noticed any lice and have checked in the evenings for red mite in the house? Their run is also partially covered so can get out of the rain.

Hi Lee.
There is a mite called the scaly face mite that happens with budgies and parakeets etc (I think it is related to the scaly leg mite). If it was me I would be taking them to the vets for them to check and for some treatment. Do you just have these two living together or are they with more birds?

Hi thanks for the reply. There are three silkies and one poland in my flock, it is just the older two(born feb this year) that have the problem. Will try to get them to the vet asap.
