Do Black Rocks Lay in Winter?

Well, the title says it all!  Do they?   ???
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

My blackrock was the one that went broody in the summer and didn't lay for about 14 weeks  :( but now I am getting one every day from her :D :D the other two keep having a day off but they laid well all summer.

My black rock is still at 6 a week!! It used to be 7 on the whole, but I'm not gonna complain about the missing one!! She also went broody......I treated her to some eggs to hatch though!! Next year, her offspring can make up for what she didn't do in the summer!!

must be the breed, we too had a broody black rock this yr, she hatched 11 eggs for us, table birds who are now in the freezer so the protein we missed from her eggs she has hepled make up for.

I presume she is laying again now, i've seen her in the nest box, but with 17 hens it's hard to know who's doing what.  We are still on 12 eggs a day tho and 2 of them are moulting so that makes 12 eggs from 15 hens, not bad I think!
13 eggs today!
