Hi, i am very worried about my geese when i go. They have rescently hatched 2 goslings off, and are very protective of them, (even attacking me). The two ganders are very agressive with people, even when goslings are not around. The guy who is going to look after my geese is one of my friends (he keeps geese himself), but my gander has gone for him before, and he chased it with a piece of wood and threatened to kill him. What can i do? He is the only one who is able to look after them, who already has background knowledge on keeping geese. I am worried that he will either kill or hit my geese? What can i do????? HELP

Oh dear....definitely a dilemma. I suppose the only thing would be to get absolute assurances from  him that he would not harm/kill your geese. If you are not happy with his reply, then the only thing would be to stay at home. Going away with the thought that he may harm your geese would not make for a good holiday.

I cannot possibly cancel the holiday at such a late stage as i would lose all my money. Also there is none else to look after them.

Wish I could help Kizza, we used to keep geese, but too far away from you.  Put your location on your profile, then peeps won't have to keep asking where you are!!!

See if there's a city farm or something where people might be keen to do a bit of poultry rearing
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
